Recommeded Routine Care
. Brush at least twice a day.
. Brush for 2 or more minutes.
. Floss once a day.
. Get a checkup and cleaning
  every 6 months.

Oral Health for Kids
Brush a child's teeth twice a day with a soft bristled brush, after the first tooth arrives.

Use toothpaste especially designed for babies. Use a pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste once the child is old enough to spit and not swallow it.

After teeth are in the mouth, schedule your child's first dental visit.

Dr. Piccolo was born and raised in the same neighborhood where she now practices. She attended Rutgers University in Newark, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. After attending Rutgers for three years, she was accepted for early admissions into the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where Dr. Piccolo was awarded induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. She graduated in 1985 with a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry.

Family

Dr. Piccolo is married to Eric Piccolo, a teacher in Jersey City's Dickinson High School, their alma mater. Together they have raised three beautiful children: Eric, a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, is employed as an auditor. Angelica, a graduate of Rutgers University and Montclair State University's Masters in Teaching program, is currently employed as a Physical Education teacher, and coaches volleyball and swimming. David, a senior at Rutgers University, is pursuing a career as an actuary.
